Honestly to know what the hair looked like in the 50's you can kind of look at how your grandma wore her hair in the ~80's-10's, maybe still does!
I feel like most 50-60+ women rocked that style in the 90's-10s and learned how to recreate it and many hair stylists still knew how to recreate it in the 80's-00's.
(Maybe because of Hollywood, whether you were a kid, teen or a young adult in the 50's you would see these beautiful women and want to emulate them.)

Mainstream channels like Cut, Buzzfeed, Jubilee, etc. are the reason why alternative channels like Karolina's exist. These channels spread misinformation and when corrected, get all triggered. It's like CNN and Fox News. Alternative media channels are growing and the big channels cannot take it.

I love you, I'm secrectly (cause I'm a boy) in love with vintage fashion, I am as interested in how people wore clothes in the 50's as I am with how people wore them 1.000 years ago.
But that's just because I like history in general and not just clothes but I do have a preference for 1900's centuary, I just think it's a very UNIQUE centuary, personally, in women fashion, the decade I like the most about women fashion are the 60's, I just love everything about the 60's, even with the music, anyway I love you too Karolina, thanks for making people understand that they don't have to just trust any video about vintage fashion and that they should do some research themeselves

Thanks for doing this one! :) I was shocked when I saw those "100 years of" videos trending since so many people take them as gospel. There's never just one beauty ideal at one time. i.e. Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hephburn existed at the same time and were both beautiful, sexy, and famous. The same goes for today. You have the thin/svelte aesthetic and the super curvy ideal that's also become popular.

The same thing with 99% of "informative" videos on youtube. If you are new to the topic you are happy, if you have like _average_ level of knowledge on the topic - you are going to be on the fence. If you are into this much, it's endless frustration.

Actually, it might not be too hard to find a few ladies still alive and with it enough who lived through most of those decades and let them laugh their asses off at some of those videos. My own grandmother lived to be 96 and was very sharp until a few years before she died. Seems to me "fashion" has always been about continuously working to make the "average" woman think she's not quite smart enough, not quite pretty enough and really couldn't manage to function quite as well without whatever is being pushed by the media/elite? And not just "fashion," come to think of it.
