god I love those earrings..
Very interesting thank you🦞
OMG THE FAKE BRITISH ACCENT. I almost fell out of my seat laughing
🦞🦞THATS IT. THIS IS WHAT I"M WEARING FROM NOW ON. *yells offscreen* MOTHER, GET THE PINS AND WOOL!
I have a warm leggings and a modern long wool skirt. Let's just say people look at me funny when I carry my coat in my hands and walk around with short sleeves on top in 5°C weather, because they vastly underestimate how warm I am on the bottom.I think the skirt also does a lot on terms of keeping the air in. I can simply keep all that lovely body-warmed air right where I need it.
I don't have a lobster emoji, but much respect to the sacrificial sister. Clearly, the old ways were much smarter!
here in Canada we have minus 30 or 40 degrees Celsius. 😭
🦞🦞🦞 much respect!!
🦞🦞🦞 I WANNA WEAR VICTORIAN CLOTHES NOW!!
So....how do you go to the toilet?!!
As a Canadian, please use real wool in cold weather. It's so much warmer and is also one of the only materials in existence that will continue to keep you just as warm if it gets wet.
16 degrees would be so warm right now. It was -30 here the other day with windchill.🥶
There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. - norwegian saying
Have you considered sewing ear-cover-bag-thingys to your mask?Your ears will always covered because you have to wear the mask anyway, I did that this winter, and it saved my ears from freezing to death🦐🦀 (I don't have a lobster-emoji…)
That's settled it then; SO making a wool petticoat and upping my thermal game. Also your sister is such a gem for freezing to death with you, bless her
🦞🦐new subscriber. Dig your humor and love textiles and fashion/clothing history. You looked so pretty in the snow which is not easy to do. I don't get to go where it is really cold very much but when I do my skin goes an alarming shade of oatmeal grey with dark circles under my eyes if I'm really lucky. Hope you can continue to show us your great sewing skills in an historical context. With love from Australia.
🦞 All the respect!
Yeah! Wool is cool! I am passionate knitter, and I love wool, it will never let you freeze especially if you choose right animal for outside temperature. Alpaca is very warm as most camel, for example, just because of hair structure. But the most warm wool is lopi - sheep wool from Iceland - those sheep survive through really bad weather and developed really protective wool. Fleece and other made of oil fabrics is nothing compare to the world of wool, definitely, not only in warmness, but also in beauty ^_^.
This video brought to you by wool.
I love when non-English-speakers use words like "isolate" and "desolate" in the French sense. It makes everything more dramatic.
-9С is considered winter?LOL, someone clearly, hasn`t visited Russia, welcome to -40 C and below
And also your outfit was by far prettier than any modern winter clothing! That sillouette 😍😍😍 And 🦞🦞🦞 for your sisters sacrifice! ❤️
Loved your experiment. Beautiful clothes & your a delight. This video made me think of something I never thought of before - how great it would be to have a sister. I don't have a lobster emoji on my lap top, but imagine one here :)
you need to befriend some serious knitters. most of us have enough wool yarn to last a few lifetimes, and we welcome any excuse to make use of some of it.
Anybody know where i can get the full body woolen bodysuit?
Come on girl, this is basically what Norwegians still wear every day in winter - using many layers of wool, I mean. Woolen underwear is the best. Try it, other countries. How are you other countries so far behind when it comes to winter clothes 🙄
🦞 I'd kill my sister if she made me walk around for an hour straitgh at -7C. But then again, I'm from a tropical country and I'm freezing at anything bellow 17C. Respect 🦞🦞
Wool is the king of fabric, it makes me sweat constantly and it has my opest respect. So yeah, wool. Also 🦞
🦞🦞🦞 you’re a trooper Gosia! Loved this video, the explanation for short skirts makes so much sense.
Wool is so cool! This is basically how I, a desert flower, dress in base layers while now living in the Northeast: wool sweater, wool long-johns, wool pants, wool socks, wool scarf, and wool gloves with a wool jacket.
I think a lot of people today knows too little about the materials they're wearing. In a lot of "winter wardrobe" videos i've seen on youtube is just 3-4 layers of cotton and a polyester coat like 👏that👏is👏not👏enough👏 when it gets below -1 C. You can easily manage with 3-4 layers down to -20C if you choose the right materials though.
🦐 I know it's not a lobster but it's the best I could find lol.
hi Karolina! the body suit you are wearing would most likely be a union suit! they were originally made for women, but became increasingly popular for men, and eventually became associated with working men (hence the name). they are a precursor for long johns! they would have a flap at the back that could be undone for bathroom purposes. signed, someone who is also looking for a good union suit. or at least a pattern.
I agree with you that wool is cool. I sewed two wool skirts for this winter and i love them so much. It's like a blanket 2 go.
🐙 The closest to a lobster my emoji gallery has offered
she could have worn earmuffs they were invented1873.
We do, in modern times, have flannel lined pants and fleece leggings!
HA HA History is history, and if you want to be an Astorian, you know the rest
Imagine removing them (jumpsuit) when you need to go to the toilet
Mad respect for 🦞Sister Żebrowska!🦞
Why actual fashion doesnt keep us warm in winter, real question, if someone knows please tell me 😅😅😅😅😅
🦞Hope your sister didn’t get frostbite.
Karolina: *Doesn't get cold outside in -7C*Me: *Getting cold in my room in 1C*
my device dosnt support real lbster emojis, so here is a fake one "lobster emoji"
What did ladies do once they got to their destinations just sweat to death indoors?
I have always said while my legs are freezing under two pairs of leggings and a skirt, that women's winter fashion lost a lot of it's warmth factor when we stepped away from multiple levels of wool skirts.Back when the world was still normal my family used to go caroling at Christmas, and let me tell you, dressed in a 1700s wool dress and cape was the warmest I have ever been while walking around at night in below freezing temperatures.
